For first time visitors, we recommend the classic "Blue Cruise". Aptly titled for the long stretch of rich blue waters, this passage follows the Turkish Mediterranean coast from Bodrum to Antalya, to ancient ruins, seaside villages and natural preservation areas. The entire cruise takes two weeks; we are describing a one week trip below.
During the heat of the summer, the traveler can enjoy the Aegean winds on a cruise of the Greek Islands of the Easter Sporades and Dodecanese. One flies into Izmir making a stop at the Roman ruins at Ephesus on the way to the coast. The Dulcinea can stop at many islands: among them Khios, Samos, Ikaria, Patmos, Lipsos, Kalimos and end at Kos or Bodrum. These Greek Islands are less frequented than the Cyclades and more pleasant for some because of that. Weather permitting, a diversion to some of the Cyclades such as Mykonos and its neighbors is possible.
The large Gulf of Gökova is located east of Bodrum. It is an area of unspoiled beauty, ideal for watersports, swimming and fishing. green-clad mountains, sandy beaches, private coves, ancient ruins and small seaside villages. This is for the tourist who looks for quiet beauty, watersports and privacy.
Specialized itineraries encompassing the Cyclades Islands and even Croatia can be arranged
